Water filtration with high dirt loads and high selectivity
The endless belt filter suits high dirt loads. Its major advantage is the separation of solids in relatively dry form without much rinse water.
Liquid enters through a distribution plate.
The belt passes over the filter floor. Liquid flows through the cloth while particles remain. As the belt clogs, the liquid level rises.
The belt then advances a short distance and sludge is scraped off. Part of the belt is above the liquid, allowing dirt to drain.
After scraping, spray nozzles clean the belt; rinse water returns to the filter.
Capacity depends on dirt type and quantity, cloth mesh size and belt dimensions.
